DATURA QUARTETT
The famous German Datura Trombone Quartett "on tour" in Amboise factory.

Last 29th and 30th of March, we were very pleased to welcome 3 members of the Datura Trombone Quartett in our factory, to test and choose their new trombones of the Challenger II line. To meet these fine Artists, M. Vincent Ribes, Artictic manager from TA-musik, came specially from Germany and pick them up at the airport… Stefan Geiger, soloist at the Hamburg Simfonie Orchester des Nordeutschen Rundfunkt, teacher in the Hamburg conservatoire, after serious tests decided for the 420MBO. "Great, it sounds like my old Bach but is easier to play…" Uwe Schrodi, soloist at the Essen Philharmonisches Orchester, prefers the 420BH II, with gold brass bell. "A very easy and free blowing instrument…" And Oliver Siefert, soloist at the Frankfurt Radio Simfonie Orchester took the 420TMB, with gold brass bell. "This is a fantastic tenor trombone, and I will come back soon to also take the bell section with F attachment…" he says… And as usual, the 3 artists together with V. Ribes, J and S. Gaudet, were enjoying a very nice dinner in "La Cave", a huge Cave "dug" into the rock in Montlouis sur Loire. If you have the opportunity of coming in our nice Loire Valley, I advise not to miss this place...
