GUEST BOOK - GREEN ROOM

The Millière Trombone Quartet

In November 2001, Jean Raffard, Joël Vaïsse, Guillaume Cottet-Dumoulin and Gilles Millière decided to meet up regularly. During an initial period of collaboration, the four artists were able to position themselves and begin to appreciate each other’s musical talents.
The “trial period” was great success, making the beginning of the Millière Trombone Quartet.

This new ensemble wanted to forge their own identity by specialising in original compositions, thereby serving to refresh their musical repertoire. Exchanges with J.F. Baud, R. Dubugnon, M. Lys, J. Naulais, and Stéphane Pelegri bore their fruits quickly ; the results being authentic and varied works that appeal to a wide audience.
They were recorded between 14th and 17th April 2003 in the presence of their composers.

On-going contact with other contemporary composers leads us to expect more good work shortly, which will further enfich the group’s repertoire.
Performing live in concert – in recital or with an organ, the Millière Trombone Quartet will delight in introducing you to new music.
